How to integrate snapADDY DataQuality in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (v. 9.1 or older)

This tutorial will guide you through the steps that are necessary for integrating the Smart Autocomplete feature into the New Lead form in Dynamics 365 CRM.

1. Creating the web resources manually

There are three web resources you need to add to your CRM in order to fully embed DataQuality into your Lead form.

Download the following file and unzip it on your pc:

snapADDY DataQuality for Dynamics.zip

  • Open the advanced settings

  • Select Customizations

  • Select Customize System

  • Select the web resources entry in the list on the left

Main Sidebar

Add a new web resource, give it any name and an optional Label/Description.

As type select Website (HTML), set the language to English and upload the index.html file from the zip archive you downloaded earlier.

E-mail Validator

Do the Same as above but using email-validator.html file from the zip archive you downloaded earlier.

JScript library

In order to only show the snapADDY web resources when creating new leads. We're going to add a small extension to your existing Lead form that hides/shows a new tab depending on the current page state.

  • Create another web resource, but set the Type to JScript this time. Give it a name and write it down somewhere for later!

  • Upload the library.js file from the zip archive you downloaded earlier.

2. Adding DataQuality to your Lead form

  • Open the advanced settings

  • Select Customizations

  • Select Customize System

  • Find and open the Lead forms entry in the list on the left.

    • ComponentsEntities lead forms

  • Either create a new form or edit an existing one

3. Add Smart Autocomplete as separate tab into the lead form for Dynamics 365

You could skip this section if you want to add DataQuality to an existing tab within your lead form. But we recommend to create a new tab which will show all fields that can be filled by DataQuality to see possible changes at one.

→ Please follow the next steps: Add Smart Autocomplete as separate tab into the lead form for Dynamics 365

4. Add the Smart Autocomplete to the New Lead view

  • Open the formatting tab, change the number or rows to 12 (you can change this value if you like) and uncheck the show border checkbox

  • If necessary, drag it into the right column

  • To add the email-validator below the email field click on Add Web resource again
